Ink Slinger & the Adelaide Reclink Community Cup

The Community Cup, a much adored charity football match held annually in Melbourne and Sydney that pits Musicians against Media to raise money for Reclink*, is coming to Adelaide for the first time. As inaugural sponsors of the Adelaide Anchors media team, we naturally sought to give our favourite Journos an unfair advantage over the Muso Rockatoos by brewing a beer in their honour: Ink Slinger Stout.

STYLE Foreign Extra Stout

IN A NUTSHELL Roasty, creamy and full. Rum, raisin & the lash.

On the fuller side of the Foreign Extra divide, our roasty, rich and bitter stout tempers grainy sharpness with smooth creaminess from the use of Flaked Barley and Oats in the mash and a clean American Ale yeast ferment. With inklings of molasses, dried fruit and cocoa and enough warming alcohol to salve those overwrought hamstrings and relax you that little bit further into the couch, Ink Slinger is a straight-up, old fashioned restorative stout. Grassroots style.

So ‘carn the Anchors; sling those Rockatoos ‘til they’re slung! And if you can’t do that, re-write history...
